Scallop Hunting
Last night I ran around the island and filled up the box. I paid off the “weather station” and then decided to go look for scallops. It took a while, but I finally got one and Pascal popped up to trade.

Pascal’s words of wisdom

This is what Pascal traded me.
Snow Peoples
The snowman sent me a refrigerator. I managed to roll another happy one after that. Yay!
Hide-and-Seek
I played another spirited game of hide-and-seek with the townies today. Margie decided to hide behind the new weather station. I wanted to investigate it, but I had townies to find.

Margie’s peeking

Oops. I almost shoveled Tangy

Poor Derry. I found him on one of his last days in town.
For my hard work I got a cabin rug.
Redd’s Gallery
Just call me åæŽ¢åµ (Great Detective) Yumi. I picked over all of the offerings and found the one authentic painting.

This is the fake Nike. It seems he’s always trying to get rid of this bat-winged monstrosity.

Fake
Fujin and Raijin
by Tawaraya SÅtatsu
The two images are reversed. The one that is on the right should be on the left and vice versa.

Basic Painting
Blue Boy
by Thomas Gainsborough
This one is real. The fake one has both hands on hips.

Jolly Painting
Summer
by Giuseppe Arcimboldo
I’m not sure if this is fake. The explanation for a fake says that the nose is a carrot. The nose on this one isn’t a carrot (I don’t think?) but it is orange. If you look at the original the rest of the face is orange and the nose is a cucumber or something and is not orange.
Weather Station
You can interact with the back of the weather station and “read” the instruments inside. It told me that it looked like snow…which was not a shock to me. It looked like it would snow since I stepped out of my house this morning.

it looks like snow
Coffee Slingling
Even though I made one mistake in my coffee crafting I still got very good beans and Brewster gave me another gyroid.

I accidentally didn’t add sugar to Groucho’s coffee

I rocked Brittney’s coffee BTW she’s new to New Leaf.

Brewster gyroids
They actually don’t make much noise (which is good). The little one dings.
More Remaking
I made a tiny T-Rex yesterday. I was going to make a tiny pterodactyl today because I have all the pieces, but I got a lotus lamp that can be remade, so I want to see what it turns into. I was hoping to make it sparkly, but I didn’t get to use an ore, so it will just change blue.

The T-Rex is the one in the background.

The lotus lamp pre-remake.
I haven’t picked the lamp up yet, so I’ll have to see how it looks later.
Conclusion
I’m trying to go on nightly runs to the island to save up money for my loans. I have a little over 400,000 bells together for the 570,000 I owe on my mortgage. Maybe by tonight I can pay it off and tomorrow upgrade the mermaid room. Wish me luck!

Good Morning!
Good Morning!
Good Morning!
Getting to know Tangy. She seeeems bubbly.
Your stories keep surprising me at how much new things there are to do. I love that you can go into the water!
Hehe yeah, i kinda like Tangy, in my DS town she’s always funny and happy 🙂
The nose on that one painting is a carrot. The green thing you see off from the orange is the top of a carrot so yeah. Using that as a guide, it makes it easier to see the carrot.
Aw the Brewster gyroids are cute. 😀
So I’ve been following your blog for a while now, but I don’t remember seeing anything about grass wear recently. Have you noticed a lot of it?
Do you still get gyroid’s after it’s rained/snowed?
