Animal Crossing New Leaf: Day 72

Stalk Market

Titles

72 days. This is starting to sound like that meme with the dog that everything is his favorite and the cat is on day 482 of captivity trying to kills its captor. Oh well. I didn’t think I’d stick with it this long. Go me! J/K.

Snow Persons

I almost miss rolling regular snowmen. It made me nervous trying to make snow mama today because I inevitably over think the dimensions. Yes I use my stylus as a ruler to measure just how high the snowball is while I’m standing next to it. Tomorrow, snow kid!

Maiko Chan

For deviously taking Maiko chan over to Jisuna village while Kokuto was at work I got a digital picture frame. It’s very cute! The pictures actually change.

Not least of all I miss the daily presents. Snow bingo is slow unless you have tons of snow daddies. I still just have one.

Hooray! Perfect Snow mama

I was hoping it would turn into a balloon giraffe or something. It might, but he only gave me the option to change its color. I haven’t picked it up yet, so we’ll see.

Badge Master!

I was wondering when he’d show up with all the remaking I’ve been doing. I knew you could get a remake badge. Sure enough that’s what he gave me.

You get the beginner badge for remaking 30 items. The silver and gold versions come after remaking 100 and 200 items. I’ve got a ways to go.

He was still lurking around so I went and talked to him again. He gave me a silver badge for “charismatic villager”. Apparently (I shouldn’t admit this) the badge is for playing for over 200 hours. Eep!

Charismatic Villager?

Charismatic Villager?

Out of curiosity I looked up badges on a wiki. It looks like I’m gonna have to start writing letters. There’s a letter writing badge. Poo! There’s also a balloon badge. I don’t actually shoot down too many balloons. I guess I don’t pay attention or look up enough, but I don’t see them very often. And usually when I do it’s when I’m in the middle of talking to someone important.

Town Beautification Initiative

I don’t know if it’s the snow melting and the green coming out in the trees or what, but the bald spots everywhere are driving me nuts. Since I found out that fertilizer is just snake oil I’ve been diligently watering and moving flowers to spots with wear. It hasn’t been a week since I’ve started doing it, so I haven’t noticed much any improvement, but I’m trying.

I haven’t started my overhaul of trees and groves either, so I haven’t planted the pears or persimmons that Zen gave me. I’m kind of hoping for inspiration to strike about where to plant trees. So far it hasn’t. I also want to replace regular peach trees with delicious ones. All of that takes time and effort and all the watering right now kinda saps my will to do much else. I even watered while it was snowing cause I wasn’t sure if it would help with the grass.

Poor Ryuuji

I forgot to give him the lovely chair…I think I stuffed it in my letters. But here’s his even more emasculating house today.

I even found Inko Chan (his pet parrot in ToraDora)! LOL

  1. I do hope you continue writing for as long as you can. It’s quite entertaining and it’s nice to actually see someone play this game as much as I do. Well, at least in English xD

I like that picture of Ryuuji waiting for the lovely chair that never came.

Quick note on grass: some spots in town are grassless to begin with and will not regrow. But they are few 🙂 I hope to be able to visit you and vice versa sometime again. I still need to add Gluxbox 😛

  2. I’m sure there a lot of people in Japan playing the game more than me. 😛 When I got it, my intention was to blog in Japanese (or at least try to), but all of my friends awaiting the game in English want to know what’s going on so I decided against that.

There are grassless spots?! That explains the place over by Nelson’s house that has had flowers there since day one and hasn’t grown back at all.

I don’t know what Glux’s schedule is like these days. She’s a pretty busy girl. 😉 I’m sure she’ll read this and get back to us about when she can come over and you can add her. Maybe I can convince Kokuto to come too and we can have a party. 🙂

  3. WOO HOO LETS PARTY!!

Regarding the bald spots… I have a theory about them. Most of my MAJOR grass-less areas are approximately the size of a townie’s house. I think the BIG bald spots are actually showing us where a house could potentially be planted (think back to those ugly signposts we had in ACCF) and therefore I’ve been avoiding planting anything special in those areas. Just in case someone wants to move in there. Of course I’m just making this up but it helps to make me feel better about the rough patches…. 😛
