Stalk Market
Day 119 – Wednesday
AM: 150 Bells
PM: 156 Bells
Day 120 – Thursday
AM: 152 Bells
PM: 89 Bells
I sold at 150 out of fear of the market crashing. I could have made an infinitesimal amount more had I waited, but at least I wasn’t biting my nails this week.
Day 119
While I’m thinking about it, this is what the Gladiator Shoes from Gulliver (a present from Greece) look like. Yes, you can order them.
Katrina
I still haven’t reaped the benefits of Katrina’s lucky items. Every time she gives me one lately I don’t have it in my catalog so I can’t order it. This fortune sounded like it was about love, so I wondered it maybe it would affect my relationships (hopefully not in a romantic sense. ew) with my villagers. But alas I didn’t have “yellow tweed clothes” so I couldn’t boost my luck in that area.
I also had Maiko-chan, but I forgot to take her somewhere else…
New DLC
I was surprised to find Pete waiting for me in the evening. He gave me a letter from Nintendo that contained the Campus Bed. Since it can be remade into several colors I took it to Kaizo straight away.
Community Projects
I decided to put in an illumination tower, that looks kind of like a big wire tree, but had to celebrate the illumination arch first. Here I am striking a pose.
Afterward I found out I had a new project. This is so going in even though it’s a bit flashy for town.
Day 120
The Illumination Tower has been installed. I’m thinking of adding a few of them every couple of trees. The area in front of the train tracks will look like Disneyland at night.
I immediately celebrated with the townies and ordered a big monitor. I haven’t paid it off yet, but this is what it will look like when I pay it off:
It’s going just behind Lillian’s house by the river. She now lives in the seedy part of town.
Saharah
I didn’t feel like changing anything around for anybody before letting Saharah work her “magic”.
Miscellany

I couldn’t think of what to have her say. The prompt says “xxx?” so I put that in. Yuka is now x-rated.
Also, this is a little of my landscaping around the fountain. I decided to move my Jacob’s ladders over there. I also picked up all my trash so I’m back to perfect town and might get more Jacob’s Ladders. If I get more blue irises I’d like to put them around it. I only have the two right now. I need to take a picture of the front of it which now has tiles leading to it (different from the regular path).
Kaizo’s Corner
I gave Kaizo a grand piano to remake. The only thing he would consider doing to it is changing it white, so I agreed to his recommendation and let him work his magic.
Hello! This doesn’t have anything to do with this post specifically, just New Leaf in general. In City Folk (and previous games if I remember correctly), you could only plant trees in certain spots. In other spots they would wilt and you could never get them to grow there, no matter how many times you replanted. Is this the same in NL, or can you plant trees anywhere? I haven’t heard anything about it so I thought I’d ask someone who has the game already.
Thanks! 🙂
I have a guide of this game in japanese. If you want, i can give you some images for you info (as katrina) and you give me the translation. Do you?
@Amanda As far as I’m aware you can pretty much plant trees wherever you want. There are a few exceptions of course. If you plant it right next to a building or another tree it won’t grow, but I haven’t had any problems with specific spots that I’ve noticed.
Ah, that is awesome! I’m a complete neat freak when arranging my town so that has always bugged me when it wouldn’t let me line my trees up and such due to random spots like that. Thanks very much! (:
Hey 🙂 I just stumbled over your blog. It is very nice and you have a beautiful town! 🙂
I wanted to ask you whether you could tell me the qr code of your beautiful ‘rose pattern path’ which can be seen in the picture where you are celebrating the illumination arch with your villagers?
This would be super sweet 🙂
Thank you and keep up the nice work! 🙂
@Resa Thank you! The path in my Japanese town can be found here: http://questnikki.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-288.html
