Day 121
Today was napping day in Kasen village. Whenever I walked in to visit someone they were asleep.
Angry Postmaster
I was surprised to find Pete waiting outside my door in the evening. I wasn’t expecting a package…and neither did I receive one. He was there to scold me because my negligent resident Taiga’s mailbox was simply bursting at the seams and he couldn’t deliver any more mail to her. Oops. I had a stern talking to with Taiga…shan’t happen again…
Recent Beautification Endeavors
Here are a few shots of the fountain and surrounding area at night. It’s definitely getting better. Less muddy and neglected looking.

The patterns are from this Japanese blog. They make really cool patterns. I have an Airu (from Monster Hunter) down by the café.
The barren looking spot in the pictures is where the fountain is, but when you “look up” as in the previous two pictures it disappears…not so handy for trying to show that the spot doesn’t look like a dirt clod anymore.
Day 122
Another day without visitors, but there was a meteor shower in the evening. And I had Neko over to watch it with me and visit K.K. Slider.
I also showed Neko our new “monitor”. It’s called a monitor, but it’s really like a giant electronic billboard. It pretty much just shows ads over and over. If only I got some revenue from it…I like it anyway. 😉

Neko fell into my carefully placed pitfall seed that was supposed to be almost un-fall-in-able. Apparently not.
Catching K.K. Live
Day 123
Wishing on stars is not done without ulterior motives. I checked my mailbox this morning to find that Hoshi-sama (the star) had sent me quite a nice present. The star sent me a lovely suit of armor that is normally a spotlight item. That leads me to wonder if the star always sends spotlight items as gifts. Even more incentive to make a wish.
The only other excitement in the village today was that someone dropped their book (again). After several inquiries I traced it back to Shinobu. I was hoping it belonged to someone else and that the careless townie would reward me with his/her picture. Alas, all Shinobu gave me was a bamboo shoot. Um, you’re welcome I guess.
Kaizo’s Corner
That polka dot closet didn’t turn out so bad. Blue + Blue = very bubblegum ice cream like, but not awful.
Yeah, the shooting star always gives a spotlight item, so definitely very rewarding to make a wish on :3
