Animal Crossing New Leaf JP: Children’s Day

Just a quick update to keep you apprised of the goings on in Kasen Village. Today is a holiday in Japan, Children’s Day. Children’s Day, also called Boy’s Day is a day for celebrating the future of sons. Cloth carp streamers called koinobori are displayed for Children’s Day. These are been available for purchase at the store from May 1-5.

Shizu-chan aka Isabelle was waiting in town square to hand out gifts. I love her shirt! She gave me a newspaper hat to celebrate Children’s Day. I figured I would be silly and dance. She joined in. 😉

Also today is Minori’s birthday. I completely forgot about it. She still had a party, but didn’t get anything great.

She has bed head. That tells you how much she's been out making friends before her birthday.
