Bug-Off!
(Doesn’t that just sound like an offensive dismissal?)
How did everyone do? This was my first bug tournament and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It seems a bit more unpredictable than the fishing tourneys since it’s not based solely on size, but on color and luster—weird variables that you can’t see.
I loved watching the townies participate with their nets cocked stalking dragonflies and butterflies. I never saw one catch one, but I did snatch a raja brooke away from someone and they did the surprised emotion. Sorry! But I needed that more than you!
I started off slowly turning in common butterflies and pill bugs, but they weren’t worth much. I graduated to tiger swallowtails and peacock butterflies. But it was hard to find anything that would break the 80 point barrier and net me bug-off series furniture. I only got 1 piece, the ladybug chair for my 103 point agrias butterfly.
I was hoping to find a last minute birdwing and snatch first place, but I never saw one. Next bug-off I’ll come prepared…
Imminent Remodel
Aside from the bug-off, I got the news that Super T&T is expanding and will be closed tomorrow. I believe the next upgrade is the home improvement center. It will be nice to be able to buy my own bushes and not raid Kasen and Jisuna village each day.
Still Perfect
I’m checking daily and making sure not to leave anything on the ground at the end of the day. I really want that gold watering can.
Visitors
We’ve had a couple people visit Hanabi this week. I haven’t had as much time to host and visit everyone else as I’d like.
Frequency Change
I mentioned previously that I’m not going to post as often. Starting next week I intend to post Tuesday, Thursday and one weekend day—unless something monumental happens. 😉
I went to the island, caught some agrias butterflies to break the early records and went to a time-traveling friend’s island and caught some stags. Won with a 130 point goliath beetle. What you wanna look for is size, rarity and color. Say, a miyama stag is uncommon, rather small and brown, so it’d be in the 60s or so. While a goliath beetle is rare, huge and more vibrant in color, so it’s in the low 100s.
On the topid of visitors, could I come over and catalog the leaf bed DLC? It’s my favorite of the DLC so far and I’m kinda annoyed the mainstream NA players just barely missed it. My code’s 1977-0160-5822 and my name’s Mikie. Heh, almost feel bad asking a favor with how little I comment ‘^_^. I read every post, though!
Eh I got New Leaf yesterday but i didnt actually know how to take photos… oh and how long did it take for you to get club LOL?
Hey how do you get THAT many bells? 🙁 I keep trying to catch fish and bugs but there only worth 500 – 3000 bells! 🙁
If you go to the island at night the beetles on palm trees are worth from 6,000-12,000 bells. Sharks available at the same time are from 8,000-15,000 so you can make a tidy profit.
