I would have blogged yesterday, but as I recently found out, Capcom has an office in San Mateo which is just over the mountain from where I live. They held a massive Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate gathering yesterday. I was there from 11am to 5pm killing monsters with other like-minded Monster Hunter enthusiasts. Despite the fact that it was 95 degrees—the hottest it’s been here all year and that the event was held in a tent outside it was a lot of fun. I even managed to get enough street passes in my happy home showcase to fill it up. I’m not the only animal crossing junkie that plays monster hunter!

I feel like it has been forever since I’ve blogged. And I feel like I haven’t done anything (except have a party) but I know that’s not entirely true. So, let’s see what I can recall from the last few days.

Manhole Infiltration

Thursday night the Reset Surveillance center was open once again. I snuck down the glowing entrance and ran into Don, Resetti’s brother. Resetti was no where to be found. Don gave me a token of his friendship (we’re friends?) his picture! I knew there was a reason I put that place where I could see it!

Friday aka Party Day

While Isabelle wasn’t standing outside greeting visitors and providing a photo-op standee, the day was still fun. Thank you everyone who visited. Big thanks to Euphy from Maple for the Sloppy Chair! ♥

Shampoodle gave many hair cuts. Able’s sold a crown. When I went into Re-Tail the next morning everything except for a frog shirt was sold out. I swear I had dandelions listed for 99,000 bells as a joke. Who bought those?!

I opened for a little while in the afternoon as well, but I had serious connection issues. When people tried to come over it would crash. Not so fun.

I still need about 40 people to visit to unlock the train station exteriors. Same time next week?

Julian. Tried. To. Move!

NOoooooooooooo! I stopped it, but why Julian? I thought we were good friends.

Saturday in Hanabi

As previously mentioned, I was at Capcom all day playing Monster Hunter, so I really didn’t do much more than the basics yesterday. I had Katrina. She told me I was monetarily doomed unless I put on some glasses so I did.

It turns out that the next day Joan sold turnips for 108 bells apiece, so I don’t think the sunglasses really worked. 😛

Crazy Camper

This looks like a bald bear left over from 1892. I’ve never seen him before. I’m not sure if I like him or not. He’s just…different.

Purple Pansy!

Vella was selling fish and bugs over in Kasen (they have the rich town ordinance currently, so I sell…everything there) when she happened across a purple pansy! My first. Ever. Now I just have to get one more so I can breed them like crazy mad. Purple is my favorite color and purple tulips are currently my favorite flower. I should steal a couple from Kasen because they have I think 7 whereas Hanabi has zero.

Of course this pansy spawned from flowers that I didn’t know were capable of producing a purple pansy. While the ones I bred specifically to make purple pansies and that I fertilize daily produce nothing but more red pansies.

And Finally Today in Hanabi

Sunday is a pretty low-key day with the only obligation to seek out Joan and find out what her turnip price is. She was gouging me at 108 bells apiece. I declined to purchase. Kasen was 92 bells apiece. I bought 1,500. The most I’ve bought yet. Naturally I expect to lose everything. 😛

Just Say No

Rooney once again sought me out to request a public work. He thinks Hanabi needs a drilling rig. What does he think that the keystone pipeline is going to go through town? No. No. No. Zen garden. We want a zen garden. Try again.

Fly

And my crowning achievement is that I caught a fly. Hooray!

Best Buy DLC

I stopped by Best Buy today to download the cat tower. It is orderable and I will happily order it for those who need it. If you want me to order it, please check my wish list and see if you have anything on it that I’m looking for. If you don’t, no big deal.
