Stalk Market for Monday, July 29
Once again I bought too many turnips. This week they were selling for 100 in Hanabi. I didn’t have the luxury of checking my other towns’ prices because I’m…behind in them. So I bought 6,200 (those last 200 were accidental) at 100 bells apiece. I’m a bit worried this week because I’m a day behind in Kasen—Saturday in addition to having class, was the J-POP Summit in San Francisco, so I was gone all day and didn’t have time to play three games. I caught back up in Quantico yesterday. But I’m still a day behind in Kasen. I’m hoping this doesn’t affect the turnip market in those towns, but I’m a bit fuzzy on what exactly triggers the dreaded downward spiral in prices.
So if Hanabi doesn’t have great prices or if my turnip price scouting fails…I’m screwed.
The Weekend in Hanabi
I haven’t played as much as I’ve wanted to partly because of busyness and partly because I’ve been playing Fantasy Life: Link. I hope to blog about it a little bit because I can take screenshots now. I ♥ games that let me take screenshots! Here’s how Hanabi’s weekend shaped up:
I was busy updating my wishlist Saturday night and so as I double checked everything I sat in Club LOL and requested song after song.
Sunday night I ran into the badge man and he gave me the K.K. Slider Fangirl badge. If they only knew I mute it when I do this…
Yesterday I went to Best Buy and downloaded a few double-neck guitars. You can remake them several different colors (they start off yellow), use clothing, or a custom design. I was hoping you could use ore to remake them as well, but you don’t seem to be able to. I would love a sparkly double-neck guitar like a pink rock candy. 🙂
Today in Hanabi
I’m sure I’ll play more later, but I wanted to get this blog pounded out so I can go catch up in Kasen.
I awoke to a violent thunderstorm. I don’t have any special visitors, but I have a moon for sale.
I’m so excited that August is almost here. I can’t wait to see the fireworks displays on Sundays. I’m tentatively thinking of opening each Sunday night for a couple hours to celebrate with people. I feel like it’s rough for me to open at night though when half the world is already asleep (stupid GMT -8). But we’ll see how it goes.
August 15th is Obon in Japanese versions of ACNL. I intend to open Kasen for that festival so you can come over and pick up an eggplant cow or a cucumber…um horse? Something like that. If you’re interested, put it in your calendar (I’ll open from 10am – noon PST). If you can’t make it, suggest an alternate time and I may be able to open for you. If you want to come please leave me your friend code. I’ll comment with Kasen’s after I go look it up. Feel free to wear a kimono or happi coat for the spirit of the event.
Last year I danced in the Obon festival in Salt Lake City and got to wear a kimono for the first time. It was a lot of fun.
August 16th is my birthday. I’m going to be ooooooooooold. So cheer me up by visiting Kasen and bringing something to Obon festival. 😛
That’s all for now.
