I don’t know if it’s that I’m trying to ignore the fact that I have a huge test this Sunday, or that “vacation” consisted mostly of driving punctuated by brief uneventful stops but lately when I turn on Animal Crossing New Leaf I get sucked into the time warp of playing for hours at a time. And there’s not much going on, so I’m not quite sure how I manage it. Well, I know one way that I manage it:
Locke is making friends
I’ve been writing long boring letters to townies with Locke, though probably not as many as she should, and saying hello to everyone and being at their beck and call. She’s signed petitions, de-flead, gone fishing, got furniture and generally been the town errand lady. I’m hoping it will pay off. I’ll see December 9.
Vella hasn’t been doing much regular playing, leaving the daily chores to Locke, but she did turn in a few gold nuggets to Cyrus to remake. She couldn’t believe her eyes when she stopped back later and found a mythical golden closet waiting for her. I’ve finally completed the golden series! Good thing since she got the gold remake badge and has kind of lost the will to remake much else.
Dreaming of Pink Sea
Vella also spent a bit of time dreaming lately. The first place she went was Pink Sea. Jennifer’s (not me) town has gotten so pretty! I visited a long time ago before the flowers had been placed and she had gotten all of the PWP’s that she wanted. The village definitely looks like something out of a fairy tale.
The week I was on vacation and a few days afterward ACUKE held a dreaming event. I’m a little late to the party, but I’m trying to visit some of the members’ dream towns. I started with Lagoona:
I hope to slowly continue my dream journeys, but it may have to wait until next week. Tuesday can’t come soon enough for me!
Yesterday Olive stepped out the door and into SNOW. It’s not sticking, but it’s cold and pretty and the townies are abuzz with it. Also, Hanabi’s tree has shed all of its leaves (boooo!), the holly is about to bloom and has begun to bud. Winter is coming!
Olive finally unlocked the QR code reader, so yesterday I went a little crazy landscaping. I did part of the southern beach because Hanabi’s beaches have always been barren and boring. And I added a spacey river around Octavian’s house.
And Today in Hanabi
The only other thing going on is the continued wooing of townies by Locke. She gave Rooney a tour of her home, visited Barold and has another visit scheduled for 3pm. I think it’s at Sheldon’s, but I can’t quite remember, so that one may be a bust.
Tomorrow is the Harvest Festival aka Thanksgiving. I’ll be cooking in game and out (though Franklin is safe at my house for now because I’m not up to cooking a turkey for just two of us). Hope you all have a great Harvest Festival. 🙂
