The last couple days in New Leaf have been awesome. Yesterday was the big storm that officially brought winter to our towns. A camper decided to spend the night in the blizzard yesterday. Not wise in my opinion.
I also had a cold soggy Gulliver washed up on the pretty part of our beach.
That’s all the clues he gave me, and I’m ashamed to say I had forgotten what country the merlion statues were in so I had to look it up. >.< Julian also gave me a scenic painting. And while I was excited to increase my stash of paintings. It was not one of the three I still need for Kasen: serene, quaint, or dynamic.
Today: the first day of winter
Today was long because all I wanted to do was catch a dung beetle. I haven’t been getting up early lately, so I wasn’t able to get one before 8am. Thus I had to wait until 5pm to try again. Which means I had to wait until then to even build my first snow-family-member.
So, the snow has changed everything. Even my zen garden and totem pole are cloaked in snow.
I had an appointment with Tia today. I didn’t realize she liked the bitterling I gave her so much. Whatever makes her happy I guess.
Finally, finally 5pm rolled around and I was able to run in and out of houses trying to get a dung beetle to spawn.
Immediately after catching the dung beetle I rolled Hanabi’s first Snowman. And got my first bingo card. If you’re having trouble making perfect snowpeople, here are the pictures I used last year as a guide. Sorry for the blurryness. I actually do hold my stylus up to gauge just how high the snowball is.
- Snowman Roll about up to the top of your eyes
- Snowmam Roll about up to your chin
- Snowboy Roll about up to your nose (or the bottom of your eyes)
- Snowtyke Roll about up to your chest
The snowball used for your head is always just a little smaller than the base. When in doubt if it’s important to you, save and continue before joining the snowballs so you can try again. Also, snowtyke won’t give you anything if his entire family isn’t present, so make sure you only make him when you have the other three in your town.
And of course as I was going to the museum to turn in my prized dung beetle, I was stopped by Julian who wanted said dung beetle. I had to refuse his trade and sent us all into a funk.
And lastly (outside of dreaming) I visited Kasen to get a bingo number. I took pictures because I’ve spent the last couple days trying to spruce the place up for Christmas. I also updated the dream address: 3700-0166-7543 if you’d like to go see for yourself.
Continuation of Dreams
Still working my way through ACUKE dream towns.
While Rachael and I have traded a few times recently we never have a chance to stick around each other’s towns, so I decided to take a gander in a dream.
And then to Petunia:
I had to cut my visit short in order to make a house visit with Tia. But after that I went to the town of Redwood.
