It’s been a slow couple of days in Hanabi. Flurry has settled in. The morning she finished unpacking I stepped out of my front door expecting to see her puttering around outside. Instead, I saw Soleil sauntering around the corner looking for tasty gossip morsels about our newest resident.
The only “adjustment” that Flurry had to make was to lose that shirt. We couldn’t have burrito-chan and poncho-chan in the same town that’s just too cowboys and indians.
As my first mayoral act of kindness towards Flurry I sent her a new shirt. She put it on right away. Smart hamster.
Meanwhile in Japan
Just because it’s been a little slow in Hanabi, doesn’t mean other things haven’t been going on. Today mayor Yumi met up with Mikayla for the Korean Lunar New Year and was showered with gifts. Thank you so much Mika-chan!
Then Mikayla and Jennifer from Pink Sea came over and we went to the island to play games proving once again how much I suck at the maze game…and the ancient fishing game…But it was great fun and took my mind off of impending JLPT news tomorrow and my two-day sinus headache.
