I didn’t play Disney Magical World on vacation because I wanted to be able to share everything when I got back. Yesterday I picked it up again for the first time in a couple weeks. I started yesterday with 26 stickers.
First off I went around saying hello to everyone and seeing who had favors for me.
- Donald Duck
give 1 Ruby Bubbles ・ receive Proper Rod Recipe
give 1 Bright White Rose ・ receive 1 Bony Crystal
- Minnie Mouse
Model Polka Dot Outfit ・ receive Photo!
- Resident 1
give 1 Fluffy Dandelion ・ receive Milk Berry Seeds
- Resident (the Chancellor?)
give 1 Big Acorn ・ receive 3 Barley Seeds
The most exciting to see was Donald Duck. He had a favor that would earn me a recipe for a new rod. I was eager to fulfill it, but upon closer inspection realized that I needed to fish in Agrabah in order to get the ruby bubbles he wanted. I unlocked Agrabah, but I hadn’t unlocked any spots with fishing holes. I needed more stickers to unlock more stages in Agrabah and I was hoping one of them would have a fishing hole. You can’t preview what’s available in upcoming stages, so you have to hope for the best.
I eventually did get my new fishing rod, but not without a bit of work. I unlocked a new stage in Agrabah and drat! It did not have a fishing hole. I knew what I needed to do: get stickers! I looked at the “recommended stickers” list to see what I was closest to earning. Here’s what I got:
I managed to complete all of the other favors except for the resident who wanted a big acorn. Oh well. I showed Minnie a polka dot outfit (that I got from a Japanese AR card) and took my picture with her. I don’t have many emotions yet, so I’m just standing there. You can use emotion to pose in photos. Timing can be a bit challenging depending on the pose and you may end up with your hand over your face. Fortunately if you don’t like the photo you can retake it.
When all was said and done I ended up with 30 stickers and unlocked a new episode in Agrabah that had a fishing hole. I snagged a fish that spit out a ruby on my first cast. Hooray! I completed Donald’s favor and received a new recipe for the Proper Rod. I turned it in to Chip and Dale and made it right away.
Reaching 30 stickers also unlocked many new items. I got new furniture at Chip and Dale’s shop (not that I can afford to make it). Daisy’s Boutique got new clothing. Most exciting though was that the café got an upgrade!
I’d show you what my café looks like, but as I’m not very far in this game yet my café is nothing special. I’m still making the starter food which isn’t selling very quickly and isn’t getting me very much money. Nevertheless I’m trying to do some café requests and level it up a bit.
At level 5 you unlock the party gauge in the café. You can raise your party gauge faster by serving recipes you haven’t served in a while or by serving something from a theme that’s popular that day (the popular theme changes twice daily just like favors). I’m still waiting for my slow selling unpopular food to sell out before making something new, so it may be a little while before I get to host a party.
