Girls Mode 3 introduces a reason to take pictures in game: the color palette. You start off with only a few colors in each shade, but when you go to different locations and take pictures you can show the pictures to a girl in the park. If you’re lucky she’ll find a new color in the photo and it will be added to your color palette. You can then use those colors for hair, makeup (and presumably clothes design, but I haven’t unlocked clothes design yet).
Either you can run around and take pictures of everything hoping there may be a color in the photo (did that), or you can chat with people who have rainbow colored exclamation marks next to them for a hint about a photo to take. Here are the color palette colors with the photos I used to unlock them. I’m not sure if it’s more helpful to be in palette order, or location order, but I’m going with palette order for these.
Since the game is in real time, I’m missing a few seasonal colors and I haven’t unlocked a couple areas or seen a few cutscenes for colors. I’ll add in those pictures as I unlock them. There may be duplicate images because some images give you more than one color.
Also note, these are direct translations of the Japanese names and the English names may change when (crossing fingers) the game gets localized.
