You may have already seen the big news on twitter. Yesterday Doomsayr and Jenn (Mii) had a baby girl. They wanted to name her Isabella. I vetoed that. Then they asked what I thought of Zoe and I vetoed again. The next name they suggested was Lillian. I can’t say no to Lillian although she’s definitely nowhere near as cute as the bunny in ACNL. In fact, she’s pretty hideous.

I told the parents I thought she was cute as a button because I think that’s the polite thing to do. I even arranged to have some newborn photos of her, but not even the bee suit could pretty her up. She has her father’s eyes.

I thought the parents would handle parenting great and I could just pat the child on the head and go about my merry way, but no sooner did Lillian arrive than I was called on to try and stop her crying fit by rocking her. They told me to rock her gently, but she didn’t respond to that. And only with some frantic 3DS waving did she finally quiet down.

Doomsayr and mii aren’t the only couple with baby plans. Momo Pink told me she and Iwata were thinking about having a kid too. I was supportive of their choice as well.

But it’s not all good news on Hanabi Island. Sadly Napoleon and Cleopatra decided to part ways and then each descended into a cloud of funk.

I made the mistake of trying to give Cleopatra a comforting bowl of ramen to ease her heartache…and I found out that she hates ramen. Like, it’s the worst thing in the world to her. I’m ready to vote her off the island for that preference. こってりみそラーメンが大好き！

Today I was forced on baby watch again. This time I was supposed to soothe screaming Lillian by tickling her or something. She was having none of it. So I was forced to try the age-old baby game of peek-a-boo. Which, of course, she loved.

Shortly after I got a call from Iwata saying that he and Momo Pink had a baby. Another girl. They named her Elizabeth. Except for the fact that she’s bald (I hope that’s just a baby thing) she’s pretty cute.

I couldn’t even calm her down. I just gave up and handed her back. Like you do.

I am curious what food villagers love and hate. The only thing I have stumbled upon is Cleopatra’s loathing of ramen (weirdo), but then I gave her macadamia nuts. And she started freaking out again! But in a good way this time!

It was much better than when she melted into the floor. At least I know what to feed her if she pisses me off. Or what to feed her as breakup food. 😉

The other day I caught Doomsayr fretting over love. I went to see what had him troubled and he told me he was thinking about proposing to mii! Much like with Iwata様 I told him I’d help him out with asking mii at the appropriate moment. I wasn’t sure where mii would like to be proposed to, so I suggested at a fancy dinner. Unfortunately Doomsayr didn’t have any fancy clothes, and I figured what he was wearing was better than the panda suit so I told him to just go for it as is.

I would just like to interject that this is not how I got proposed to IRL. In fact I’m not even sure I was proposed to IRL. My mom started bringing up how Cabo would be a lovely place to get married and somehow Doomsayr and I agreed and next thing we knew we were getting married there—after having been married here by a justice of the peace because the marriage there wouldn’t be legally binding.

Back to Tomodachi Life and Wedding Time!

I feel this is the perfect time to drag out pictures of my wedding from November 2, 2009, which sadly was not attended by Satoru Iwata or Cleopatra.

Back in Tomodachi Life, Doomsayr and I rushed off to Peru for our honeymoon. That could be cool. IRL we never really had a honeymoon since we got married on the beach in Mexico. But we really only had 1 full day to ourselves. One day does not a honeymoon make.

When I went to check on mii to see how I was adapting to married life I threw out this shocker:

I told her to go for it, because IRL I only have a cat because I think that’s all I can handle, but in Tomodachi Life how hard could having a kid be? Still no baby yet. I wonder how long it will take…

This time I decided to play match maker with Iwataさま and MoMo Pink. I wonder where I keep my bear suit?

It didn’t go quite as well as intended. They seemed to have fun, but decided in the end just to be friends.

New Room for Pirate Dude

While I may not have gotten pirate attire, I did purchase the swankiest room for Mr. Rainy Day—his name phonetically is oh ahmay sen choe which is something like “heavy rain ship captain”. I call him: Pirate Dude. (Doomsayr thinks I inadvertently imported Jesus into Tomodachi Life.)

And in other news I found out that my friend Chris had been ousted from the arm wrestling championship by Cleopatra, who apparently is a woman of many talents.

Small wonder, my feelings for Doomsayr heated up and I decided I had to tell him.

I decided to tell him with a song, on the observation tower…wearing my mermaid outfit…like you do

He responded with a very firm, “sure” and the rest is history.

After that I was obnoxiously cheerful.

And today we could be seen making googly eyes at each other.

Makin’ Friends

Chris decided he wanted to be friends with me, so I told him he should feed me some gossip. He came over and did just that.

Bizarre Love Triangle Averted

Iwataさま told me something rather startling. He said he was interested in me (Jenn) and MoMo Pink. I’m flattered, really, and maybe I should have taken him up on it because lord knows I want access to more Nintendo games, but I told him he should go after MoMo Pink…after changing his clothes.

She responded to his cocky proposal with “sure” just like me. Whew! Now I don’t have to worry about either of them interfering in my love life for a day or two.

A Romantic Vacation

Even though we just got together, I decided to take a romantic trip with Doomsayr. I didn’t master use of the camera until our last stop, so the pictures are kind of lackluster. Next time.
