I kind of missed Christmas and New Year’s and the last six months more or less. But believe it or not—I live! I got The Winter 2014 issue of ぴこぷり in the mail last week. It has a lot of cute dresses in it. Many of which are Christmas-themed. There are a couple I may have to make even though the holiday is past.
I chose to copy the party dress pattern submitted by Mikumiku of Chiba prefecture. It would have been great for New Year’s if I had completed it in time, but I think it will be pretty for Valentine’s day too.
Happy New Year! Here’s hoping no psychotic clown sheep land in your town this year!
ぴこぷり has a lot more dresses than shirts, and the shirts it does have are often girly—this month has two that remind of some ’80s Madonna wear, but this one could be considered unisex. The animal peeking out from the tree makes it adorable [See if you can spot him in QR #1]. I gave it to りゅうじ since he’s often neglected with respect to his wardrobe.
He put it on and went to say hello to our new neighbor, Muffy.
Every other month Pikopuri delights me with its whimsical design book, from which I painstakingly copy most all of the QR codes that I post. But Pikopuri doesn’t just come with the design book. It usually includes other goodies. It’s come with a secret diary and pencils and a pencil case among other things.
August/September 2014 issue’s delight is a set of playing cards drawn by the artist who does their four panel comics, 霜風るみ. I didn’t even want to take the plastic off, but I had to just to look at them. Here’s a peek.

Still bound: First card is Brewster on the Ace of…Leaves??
The entire set spread across my crappy table
Though Julian didn’t make the cut, Bunnie, Marshal, Tia and others make it almost ok.
