Sooooo generally when I unload all my turnips in the middle of the week I get lazy about checking. Couple that with pre-trip running around and there are great gaps in stalk prices such as:
Day 142 – Friday
AM: No idea
PM: 69 Bells
Day 143 – Saturday
AM: Again. No idea.
PM: 64 Bells
Day 144 – Sunday
Joan sold turnips for 95 apiece and it took all of my strength of will and common sense not to buy any. I intend to be way to busy to check prices twice a day or seek help from my fellow ACNL friends when the market heads south.
Day 142 – Friday
I had Redd today. Unfortunately I already had the original (how is that even possible?), so if anyone wants to trade for it, remind me after I get home April 16th or later. But until then—drumroll please—it’s time for another installment of è¿·æŽ¢åµ (lost or nuisance detective) Yumi and her great search for legitimate art.
Concerning blue roses
So, I finally looked in my guide and in the April issue of Nintendo DS + Wii. It seems that to get blue roses you cross red roses with fertilizer. I’m not sure if there’s a particular configuration that will yield better results. You’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
Obligatory Nelson sighting
Day 143 – Saturday
Today we were on a great suitcase hunt for my husband so I didn’t get to sit down and play until around 6pm.
When I logged on I found out that it was Mikachi’s birthday. I had no idea. I found out that she likes fancy clothes so I went to the Able Sisters to see if there was anything suitable there. Fortunately the first shirt on display was fancy so I snatched it up, bought some wrapping paper at Nookington’s and went over to party.
The spring polka-dot shirt went over like gangbusters. I’m still traumatized from Shinobi’s birthday party when she said she didn’t like what I bought her.
The Blue Rose Saga
No blue rose. I only planted 4 red roses and put a fertilizer in the middle. Today I had a white rose and a pink rose. I don’t know how that happened…Will try again tomorrow.
Day 144 – Easter Sunday!
Today is bunny day! I walked outside and there were strange rocks and cracks in the ground everywhere! Most of them contained Easter eggs, though some were the usual fossils and ores. 😉 There are 6 different types of Easter eggs:
You give Zipper T. one of each of those eggs (one at a time) and he gives you an easter basket.
After that it’s egg gobbling time! You eat the eggs and from within them you get a regular ticket (exchange for furniture), a special ticket (exchange for his Zipper T.’s picture) or candy (booby prize). Unfortunately I got a lot of candy. Unlike Festivale you don’t get duplicate furniture until after you’ve gotten the entire set. This makes the event much more enjoyable IMO, though I was stressing about packing and cursing each candy I pulled out of my Easter Egg delaying my completion of the set.
Unfortunately there weren’t any cute cardboard cutouts in town today. It was just Zipper T. standing in town square. He dances when you give him a special ticket though.
Here are shots of the full egg set in Taiga’s house. I think the only new addition to it is the wall television. It’s pretty adorable if you’re in the room at the top of the hour. The clock “cuckoos” and a chick jumps up and down in its egg.
Oh! And from now through the end of the month the Sakura clock is available as DLC at the post office. I picked it up this afternoon.
You can’t put the easter basket on a table. I tried. Multiple times.
Yeah, he’s not getting much action from me for a bit. But: here’s his take on the “dot liner” remake. You can change it either yellow or pink.
I’m outta here!
Tomorrow I drive down to Los Angeles bright and early to drop off the cat (Sophie) with my mom. Whereupon she’ll hopefully get a show bath and be all pretty when we get back (and pissed off about not having an assortment of cardboard boxes or being the only cat). My mom breeds and shows persian and himalayan cats.
Our flight leaves on April 2nd in the afternoon bound for Narita airport. I’m so excited!
And I’ll officially be back on April 16. When will I resume posting? Probably not for a couple days after that. We’ll have to drive back up north coupled with jet lag…I hope to at least post some pics while I’m gone. Maybe one a day? Depending on internet connection.
