This blog will be hijacked by Yumi shortly because of Boy’s day, but for the time being, here’s mayor Vella’s point of view.

Hanabi has been enjoying the spring weather, the butterflies, the honeybees. The adorable campers that can’t move in because the town is full and only Julian wants to leave. Wait. Maybe not that last part. That just makes mayor Vella sad.

I wish Mayor Vella didn’t like Barold so much. He’s an ugly little nerdy bear. And I want to want him to move. But I just can’t let him go whenever he asks because he’s so freaking adorable. He had no right growing on me so much. But look at the cuteness. He wants to grow a creamed spinach tree?!

I don’t have the heart to point out the impossibility of this endeavor.

Vella did accidentally piss Barold off by shouting in his ear with the megaphone. Oops.

Mayor Vella did something humanitarian and funneled a small portion of her millions over to lowly resident Olive in order to finish paying off her house loan. Ahh mayor Vella remembers that garbled song fondly.

Mayor Vella is still closely monitoring interaction between Soleil and Flurry. She feels certain that Soleil (with her death stare) is plotting against poor defenseless little powder puff Flurry.

You can’t tell me Soleil is not plotting against Flurry. Look at that jealous stare.

Boys’ Day

Technically yesterday 5/5 was boys day, but due to real life events it was celebrated today in Kasen. Mayor Vella swung by to get a hat and hear what Isabelle had to say in her native language.
