Stalk Market: Closed
Joan sold turnips for 93 bells apiece. I snagged my usual 500. I’m excited that next week at this time the U.S. bunch will have the game so maybe it’ll be easier to find a reasonable selling price. 🙂
Saturday Night K.K.
I almost forgot to check out K.K. Slider’s act last night but I popped in late and got him to play for me. Sheldon was also there, though curiously he decided to stand at the back while the song played.

It sounded very much like the Yoshida Brothers. I liked it.

The album K.K. slipped me.
No Big Spiders Sighted
Though it had stopped raining and I wandered around and around the village hoping to spot (and not get bit by) a tarantula, all I caught was this mosquito.

Greetings from Resetti
The Reset Center is installed and functioning as I found out bright and early this morning from Resetti himself.

whew. I started to sweat for a minute.

Mayor trumps mole. I will infiltrate your secret hideout!
Unicorn, Unicorn, Unicorn!!!!
The biggest news is that Hanabi is getting Julian to move in. I was just having a discussion about him over at ACUKE the other day. Just seeing Julian makes me feel like I’m 8 years old again possessing every unicorn bookmark that was ever created. The mere thought of him makes me squeal with joy. I had to have him move in.

I’m a little tongue tied.
Initially he didn’t mention moving in. He wanted to play a game for me to buy his minimalist bed. I said I’d play and didn’t quite win or lose…I got 2 out of 3 correct in the flower matching game so he sold it to me for just under 900 bells.
I left the tent and came back. And talked to him. And talked to him.

Yeah. That’s me.

YES!!! YES!!! Yeeeeeeessssss!
Unfortunately it wasn’t that easy. He wanted to play a game to decide if he’d move here. Specifically rock-paper-scissors. My track record with that game is abysmal. This round was no exception. Though we tied a few times I only won once. And he took my lemon and said he was leaving. Whereupon I began to pout, like only someone nostalgic about their childhood who has set eyes upon a real unicorn can do. And then I began to scheme.
I talked to him. And talked to him. And he taunted me.

And the fortune cookie made me decide that I needed a disguise before trying again…
I changed into my new Link hat and went and talked to Julian some more. Once again he offered to play a game to decide whether he would move. This time it was charades. He used two emotions to describe something.

When it’s (flowery emotion)
You start (sneezing)
I thought hay fever, but it wasn’t among my choices. The one that made sense: dust. I chose it and at long last he said:

I’m getting a unicorn!!! I didn’t want to jinx it so I haven’t spoken to him since.

Daydreams about playing with unicorns.
Barista Vella

Brewster finally asked me if I wanted some part time work yesterday. I decided that I did, and it turns out I rock at it (mainly because I have a Japanese guide that lists how everybody likes their coffee). Nevertheless I hemmed and hawed to make it look good as I was sneaking peaks of my book.
Today my first customer was Jambette. I wanted to screw up her coffee. I really did, but the promise of impressing Brewster and getting superb coffee beans and possibly rare coffee swag won out over wanting to spit in Jambette’s coffee.

I really don’t like that she’s nice. It makes it all that much harder to hate her.

Looking perplexed as I try to think how to prepare the coffee.

My last customer of the day was Phyllis.

This was as enthusiastic as she got, so I thought I screwed something up.

Oh, I guess I didn’t make Phyllis’ coffee wrong.
In addition to the superb beans I got a used coffee maker from Brewster. It looks very Mr. Coffee, but I’ll cherish it anyway.
Public Works: Slim Pickings

Complaints?! But, I thought we were happy Shep?

Oh, whew. I thought it was something serious.
These are the few public works the townies have requested so far. Plus a torch that I just put in today that’s probably temporary. It screams fire hazard to me.

The caution sign Shep wants.

I have the basics that you start with as well, but I don’t want to put another bridge in. I *could* do a cutout board, but that means I have to either find or make a pattern. I guess we could put the drinking fountain by the bench and get a park feeling going on, but I don’t really like it…
Ok. I’ve rambled enough. Ciao!
P.S. I received a US copy of Animal Crossing New Leaf from Nintendo. Thanks, Nintendo!
